Ethiopia – Before becoming a legally registered Civil Society Organization, Resilient Development Initiative (RDI) was a volunteer-led effort driven by a shared commitment to humanitarian action. For more than three years, members mobilized their own resources to provide essential food items to vulnerable families, particularly women, children, and older persons. Through local resource mobilization, RDI successfully distributed food, NFIs, and scholastic materials to 520 people in need. This early food support laid the foundation for RDI's current mission to strengthen livelihoods and build community resilience across Ethiopia.
